Anushree βAnuβ Vashist
Medical and Digital Content Undergraduate Intern
Anu is a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago studying Biology and History on the Pre-Medicine track. A native of Connecticut, Anu has worked and presented her research in immunology and dermatology at the Yale School of Medicine and at the L2 Diagnostics Lab in New Haven. Investigative journalism and historical research of scientific issues, specifically the parallels between the polio epidemic and the current COVID-19 pandemic, invigorated Anu to investigate healthcare inequities. As an intern at IMPACT and Women in Medicine, she is working on further elucidating and understanding the disparities women and other minority groups face in both receiving and providing healthcare as well as optimizing the delivery of medical treatment.
