Ishani Vyas

Administrator and Undergraduate Intern

Ishani Vyas is a fourth-year undergraduate at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying Neuroscience with minors in Economics and Philosophy on the Pre-Medicine track. In addition to being President of student organizations such as the Medical Social Equity Initiative and the Society for Neuroscience, Psychology, & Psychiatry, Ishani has also served as an intern for CASVP in Paris, France, where she presented her research on U.S. best practices for reducing risk factors of Alzheimer’s Disease. Her research interests include neurodegenerative diseases and intersectionality in mental health care. Working with IMPACT has bolstered her passion for educating others and spreading awareness about healthcare inequities, particularly as it pertains to understanding and improving access to healthcare for women and BIPOC in urban environments.
