Elizabeth Van Opstal, MD, FAAP, FACP, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at Rush University. She received her medical doctorate from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine followed by Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency at the University of Chicago. She practices at Rush University as a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric Hospitalist. She is also the Pediatric Clerkship Director and the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in Pediatrics. In her role as an educator, she is passionate about the intersection of early education and health, health equity and advocacy.
